DESCRIPTION: My mother has inspired me with her strong Christian faith. Throughout her life she has kept her trust in God and the hope of eternal life. This hallway depicts the important experiences and memories in her life. Behind her wedding photo is a quilted steamship, referring to her Danish ancestors, as well as cruises my parents enjoyed. On the opposite wall behind her family photos, is a covered wagon, her Nebraska ancestors’ land transportation. The border contains a quote from Psalm 121. In low light, just beyond the doorway, the viewer can see an old woman hugging Jesus.
