Tree That Spans the Crystal River
DIMENSIONS: 41-1/4”W X 50-1/2”H
DESCRIPTION: Revelation 22:1-2 (NIV) says, “Then the angel showed me the river of the water of life, as clear as crystal, flowing from the throne of God and of the Lamb down the middle of the great street of the city. On each side of the river stood the tree of life, bearing twelve crops of fruit, yielding its fruit every month. And the leaves of the tree are for the healing of the nations.”
When I tried to envision such a scene, I knew all my thoughts would fall short of the description. Still, I couldn’t get the idea out of my mind that a huge tree could feed hungry souls year round. I see this as a description of God supplying spiritual food for anyone who chooses to grasp it. The golden buildings and streets of gold I included depict the elegant place He is preparing. I also wanted to show a tranquil scene of light and warmth emanating from God’s throne, for He is the Source of all things.
